We are excited to announce an opportunity for aspiring Trainee Lift Technicians to embark on a rewarding career path with Schindler Group.

This full-time apprenticeship program offers a comprehensive 42-month training experience, allowing you to gain hands-on expertise across various sectors of our operations, including: Service and Maintenance, New Installations, Modernisation, Repairs, and Escalators.

As a Trainee Lift Technician, you will have the chance to acquire a diverse skill set essential for maintaining and repairing Schindler equipment, as well as a variety of other brands. You will also engage in functional testing procedures to uphold the highest safety standards for our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in service and repair operations across multiple sites.
  • Learn to diagnose and resolve technical issues with lift systems.
  • Engage in safety testing and compliance checks.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, determination, and a genuine desire to advance their career within a forward-thinking, customer-oriented organization.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will achieve a fully accredited qualification as a lift engineer, including an NVQ Level 3 in Lift Electromechanics and formal qualifications in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.

If a relevant position is available at the time of your graduation, you will have the opportunity to join one of our Field Operation teams, paving the way for further career development within Schindler.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (A-C).
  • Possession of a full UK driving license or working towards it within 12 months.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Proficiency in information technology.
  • Logical and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Practical skills and attention to detail.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Total hours per week: 37.00
