Job Title: Digital Transformation Lead

Join our team as a Digital Transformation Lead and play a key role in driving digital innovation and transformation across Mid Furness Primary Care Network (PCN). As a seasoned IT professional, you will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to improve patient services, enhance clinical efficiency, and support information management.

About the Role

The Digital Transformation Lead will work closely with the PCN leadership and management team to develop and implement a strategic plan for digital development and transformation. This will involve:

  • Enhancing integrated working and building on staff skills and capabilities
  • Driving efficiency and minimizing waste
  • Delivering evidence-based data to support decision-making
  • Aligning with the PCN's Health Improvement and Neighbourhood Inequalities Plan
  • Protecting and developing the workforce
  • Improving digital accessibility for patients
  • Staying up-to-date with new digital and IT developments
Key Responsibilities

The Digital Transformation Lead will be responsible for:

  • Managing and implementing digital tools for the PCN
  • Project managing digital projects and evaluating their effectiveness
  • Working with the management team on recruitment and development of the workforce plan
  • Delivering and supporting non-clinical training
  • Ensuring all staff receive training on digital tools
  • Creating and maintaining accurate documentation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience of using IT packages to an advanced level
  • Education and training of others on a 1-1 or group basis
  • Experience of supporting others through change
  • Experience of using EMIS and other General Practice related software
  • Experience of using project management techniques to deliver successfully
  • Experience of change management and/or project work that influenced change
  • Experience of using Excel spreadsheets for complex reporting
  • Understanding of Data Protection Act and GDPR
  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Experience of leading teams to support learning and success
Desirable Qualifications and Skills

A degree-level qualification in an IT-related subject or equivalent gained through practice would be desirable. Additionally, a Master's level qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience would be beneficial.

The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, negotiation and influencing skills, and policy and procedure writing skills. They will also have management skills, training/leadership/motivation skills, and the ability to plan work programmes over short- and medium-term timeframes.

The ability to travel across the geographical area of the PCN is essential.
