Job Overview:

CEAT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transformer Testing Department Manager to lead and manage the transformer testing department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of testing methodologies and standards, as well as previous leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of engineers and technicians.
  • Assign responsibilities, set performance expectations, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Develop departmental goals, objectives, and action plans.
  • Plan for internal NABL audits, coordinate with QCIN, and control documents.
  • Conduct routine, type, and special tests as per National/International standards.
  • Review and approve test reports, prepare training needs identification, and evaluate competency matrices.
  • Implement quality control measures, address quality issues, and manage testing equipment.
  • Provide technical support, guidance, and expertise to the testing team.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in transformer technology and testing methodologies.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Extensive experience (typically 10 years) in transformer testing.
  • Previous leadership experience, including team management.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical transformer construction and testing processes.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (IEEE, IEC, NEMA).
