Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Midwife to join our team as a Patient Experience Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and innovative individual to make a significant impact on improving patient and family experience within our maternity services.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the professional direction of all aspects of the women's experience across our maternity services, ensuring optimum standards are maintained. This will involve working closely with our Matrons to lead and achieve a good working environment for women and families.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience as a Band 6 Midwife, with recent intrapartum, antepartum, and postpartum experience. They will also have experience of clinical audit and presentation, as well as leadership/management qualifications.

The successful candidate will be an ambassador for Patient Experience, providing expertise, advice, education, and support to ensure improvements are delivered effectively. They will also be responsible for facilitating teaching at our sister sites within Barts Health.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registered Midwife with minimum 3 years experience as a practicing Band 6
  • Requires NMC registration on relevant part of register
  • Professional knowledge acquired through Midwifery training to Degree Level or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
  • Mentorship course or equivalent teaching experience

Desirable criteria include experience of clinical audit and presentation, RCA Training, and Leadership/Management qualification.
