About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Correspondence and Appeals Officer to join our team at the London Borough of Newham. As a key member of our Parking Service, you will be responsible for ensuring that Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) enquiries and representations are responded to within statutory time-frames and in accordance with legislation, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and respond to PCN representations, appeals, and enquiries in line with legislation and council policies.
  • Prepare case summaries and evidence packs for adjudication hearings.
  • Manage your own caseload and support other team members as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with previous experience in the Parking industry and a strong understanding of parking-related correspondence and complaints. While training will be provided, the successful candidate will be required to have excellent IT and administration skills. A genuine commitment to first-class customer service and a strong work ethic are essential for this role.
