About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Field Engineer to join our team as a Project Lead. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading multi-discipline projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Civil and Structural (C&S) design teams in multi-discipline projects
  • Act as technical authority for C&S discipline, supporting the Engineering Manager in achieving business targets
  • Manage and complete C&S engineering and design within budget and planning, including change control and consistency with other disciplines
  • Client-facing role, managing expectations and scope
  • Responsible for quality of C&S engineering and design
  • Participate in internal and external design reviews and ensure design acceptance by clients
  • Lead projects in a multi-discipline environment, coordinating with Mechanical, EC&I, Process, and Automation teams
  • Effectively manage and report on project costs, progress, and scope changes

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of experience as Lead Engineer C&S in multi-discipline projects, in an Engineering/EPCM/EPC company
  • Experience as technical authority or line manager for an engineering organization
  • Deep knowledge of C&S engineering and design, with a sound understanding of other disciplines (Automation, Mechanical, Piping, EC&I, and Process)
  • MEng/BEng in Civil and Structural Engineering
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (Preferred)
  • Experience with production of civil and structural specifications, scopes of work, calculations, drawings, and schedules
  • Experience with application of eurocodes within the UK
  • Result-oriented, with a focus on delivering top-quality engineering and design, and client satisfaction
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage dependencies and prioritize tasks
  • Experience with main C&S design packages, including AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, Revit, Staad Pro, Tedds, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to identify growth opportunities within the company and support sales, business management, and company procedures
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to delegate tasks and manage team performance
  • Ability to chair design review meetings and teach/coach junior engineers and designers
