This position reports to

Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this position, you will serve as a design authority for an engineering discipline characterized by low to medium complexity. Daily, you will undertake tasks on small-scale projects or segments of larger initiatives in a cost-efficient manner. You will demonstrate your expertise by employing basic design thinking and design for excellence principles in your projects. The work model for this role is hybrid, based from our headquarters. This role contributes to the Marine Service & Digital product group within the Marine & Ports division in the UK. Key stakeholders include clients as the primary point of contact, internal teams, and external contractors. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects within the established scope, budget, and timeline.
• Engaging in the design and development of project components.
• Ensuring compliance of all project activities with company standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
• Communicating project status, challenges, and risks to clients while addressing feedback and making necessary adjustments to project plans.
• Providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders regarding project status and thoroughly documenting progress reports, design documents, and technical specifications throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications for the role
  • You possess strong knowledge of engineering principles and project management methodologies.
  • You have developed advanced skills in project engineering with an understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Proficient in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • You are enthusiastic about problem-solving and collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • You hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field).
  • You are comfortable communicating in English.
