About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our Engineering Team at Bilfinger UK. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most stimulating and groundbreaking EPC and construction projects in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, manage, and close projects to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Accountable for project budget, time, and safety, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and own project execution plans, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Lead the development of project programs, ensuring effective resource allocation and coordination.
  • Responsible for obtaining lead resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Avoid and resolve conflicts within the team and with third parties, ensuring a positive and productive working environment.
  • Coordinate and lead the project team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Lead commercial change management, ensuring that changes are properly assessed and implemented.
  • Act as the client focal contact, ensuring that client needs and expectations are met.
  • Monitor, report, and forecast project progress, ensuring that stakeholders are informed and up-to-date.
  • Hold the project team accountable for their delivery, motivation, and management of the team.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience as a Project Manager in multi-discipline projects, preferably in an EPCM/EPC company in the chemical, petrochemical, nuclear, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, biopharma, power, energy, utilities, renewables, and food and beverage sectors.
  • Experience in developing project schedules and managing project resources.
  • Good knowledge of construction activities across all disciplines and how these integrate to successful project delivery.
  • Sound practical knowledge of and experience with various phases of engineering and construction projects, including detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and decommissioning.
  • Experience and good understanding of working with common standard forms of contract, particularly NEC.
  • Result-oriented, with a focus on delivering high-quality projects that meet client expectations.
  • Ability to plan and organize activities, ensuring that dependencies are understood and managed.
  • Capable of identifying growth opportunities within the company, supporting sales, business management, company procedures, and strategies.
  • Effective delegation and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team to achieve project targets.
  • Preferred qualifications include a BSc/BEng/MSc or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline, Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, and qualifications from the Association for Project Management (APM).
