Senior Project Coordinator - HVP

Location: Warrington

Bilfinger UK is a prominent engineering and maintenance provider, serving clients across various sectors including chemical & petrochemical, nuclear, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals & biopharma, power & energy, utilities, renewables, and food & beverage. Our mission is to enhance asset efficiency, ensuring high availability while minimizing maintenance expenses.

The Role

In this position, you will:

  • Strategically plan, organize, manage, and finalize projects
  • Be accountable for project budgets, timelines, and safety protocols
  • Define the comprehensive project execution strategy; develop and oversee the project execution plan
  • Lead the development of the project program
  • Ensure the acquisition of necessary resources
  • Mitigate and resolve conflicts within the team and with external parties
  • Oversee the coordination of the project team
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients
  • Conduct internal and external monitoring, reporting, and forecasting
  • Hold the project team accountable for their performance, motivation, and management

Qualifications & Experience:

We are eager to meet candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience in developing project schedules.
  • Strong understanding of construction activities across various disciplines and their integration for successful project outcomes
  • Results-driven mindset. Satisfaction comes from client acceptance of the project, delivering top-quality results, and ensuring client satisfaction with your team's performance
  • Proficient in planning and organizing activities prior to team engagement, understanding interdependencies within the project and across disciplines. You maintain a 'right the first time' approach
  • Capable of delegating tasks while remaining informed about project progress and intervening when necessary
  • Implement a robust change control process for your team, effectively communicating budget and scheduling implications of changes to clients
  • Possess leadership skills to motivate your team to meet targets, even in challenging situations
  • Preferred qualifications include:
    • BSc / BEng / MSc or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
    • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status
    • Qualification from APM (Association for Project Management)
    • Experience as a Project Manager in highly regulated process industries
