About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Bilfinger UK Limited. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, from initiation to completion, while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management
    • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
    • Coordinate activities with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and construction
    • Monitor and control project expenditures, ensuring compliance with company standards and customer requirements
  • Engineering and Design
    • Ensure design solutions meet engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements
    • Coordinate technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems
  • Quality and Compliance
    • Work with the Project Engineering Manager and Construction Manager to ensure engineering works meet quality and HSE requirements
    • Ensure design and construction reviews are carried out in accordance with company and customer procedures
  • Accountability and Stakeholder Management
    • Manage interfaces with outside bodies and internal stakeholders with a degree of autonomy
    • Build and maintain customer relationships, handling enquiries and conducting customer interface meetings
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working across full design project lifecycle, Mechanical discipline preferred
  • Minimum 5 years Project Engineer experience
  • Minimum 3 years working within multi-cultural teams
  • Demonstrable success in Project Engineer experience
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to work with minimum supervision in highly regulated environments (Nuclear industry experience desirable)
  • Must be eligible to obtain SC Clearance
  • Educated to Degree level in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Professional qualification e.g. (Professional Engineer PE), (CEng) (EUR ING) (where applicable)
  • Project Management Qualification / Accreditation such as APM, PMI would be beneficial
