Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team in Croydon CAMHS. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to children and young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in outpatient/community child and adolescent psychiatry, with experience in assessing and managing complex co-morbidities. You will be an excellent leader, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting and provide consultation to non-CAMHS practitioners.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality clinical care to children and young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties
- Assess and manage complex co-morbidities
- Lead quality improvement projects/audits leading to service change or improved outcomes to patients
- Contribute to service development, clinical governance, and quality improvement
- Participate in audit or QI in clinical posts
- Teach a range of disciplines
- Involvement in research projects
- Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management
- Experience in other relevant specialties such as in-patient psychiatry
- Trained in ADI and ADOS
- Training in investigation of complaints and SIs
- Experience of providing consultation to non-CAMHS practitioners
