About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Law Specialist to join our team as a Junior Legal Counsel in our EMEA Legal department. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business operations and providing expert legal advice to our management team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Commercial Agreement Drafting and Negotiation: You will be responsible for reviewing, preparing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of bespoke and industry-standard commercial agreements for our operational businesses and group functions.
  2. Litigation Management: You will manage legacy litigation claims in the region for Signature Aviation Ltd and its subsidiaries, working closely with external lawyers to assess legal issues.
  3. Legal Guidance and Advice: You will provide expert legal guidance and advice to our EMEA management team, ensuring that our business operations are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  4. Regulatory Compliance: You will assist with the implementation and ongoing regulatory compliance requirements for the group, ensuring that our business operations are in line with industry standards.
  5. Debt Collection and Training: You will assist with debt collection matters and assist in the development and roll-out of legal training to the business.
Requirements
  1. Strong Academic Background: You must have a strong academic background, with at least a 2:1 or equivalent degree in law or a related field.
  2. Professional Qualifications: You must have completed the LPC or a training contract, and have some initial work experience in an international or national law firm or in-house.
  3. Commercial Experience: You must have demonstrable experience in preparing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements, as well as managing litigation claims with outside counsel.
  4. Interpersonal Skills: You must have strong interpersonal skills, coupled with a solutions-oriented and commercial approach to decision-making.
  5. Language Skills: Knowledge of a second language (French, Italian, Greek, German) is desirable.
