Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join our team in London. As a key member of our Immigration Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our solicitors and clients, ensuring that all cases are handled efficiently and effectively.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist solicitors with casework, including dealing with a range of Immigration matters and undertaking your own advocacy
  • Attend clients, take instructions, and prepare cases
  • Deal with correspondence, including preparing and managing funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency
  • Prepare draft documents, including witness statements and processing evidence
  • Prepare applications to meet Home Office requirements, including drafting application forms, indexes of documents, and letters of representation
  • Attend conferences and court
  • Maintain accurate time costing procedures
  • Implement recommendations made by your supervisor following monthly file reviews
  • Ensure compliance with file management
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrate passion and experience in a broad range of publicly funded Immigration Law
  • Strong academic background with a Law degree
  • Legal experience as an Immigration Paralegal/Senior Caseworker/Advisor
  • Clear understanding and application of Immigration Laws
  • Business acumen and the ability to market the Company
  • Excellent communications skills to work effectively with all types of people
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills and ability to use own initiative but know when to seek guidance
  • Committed team player, self-motivated and professional
  • Excellent IT Skills - familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills
