About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Morson Talent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical design and delivery of projects in the nuclear industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical design and delivery of projects, including the validation of single viable options.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure engineering delivery meets scope, time, cost, and quality.
  • Plan and prioritize work to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Conduct mechanical engineering calculations and checking calculations as required.
  • Provide functional support and guidance to the mechanical team.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technology and provide technical input to projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry, preferably in the nuclear industry.
  • Knowledge and experience in nuclear containment systems and mechanical plant and equipment design.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and 2D and 3D Autodesk CAD Products.
