Job Summary:

Wallacewhittle is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Principal Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading and delivering mechanical design and consultancy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement mechanical design solutions for complex projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain technical expertise and knowledge in mechanical engineering.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Contribute to the development of company policies and procedures related to mechanical engineering.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in mechanical engineering, and apply this knowledge to improve our services and products.
Requirements:
  • BEng (Hons) Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in design and consultancy.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in mechanical engineering, with the ability to apply this knowledge to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the development of company policies and procedures.
