About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer or Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at SEIMAF UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering technical studies, designing mechanical processes, and managing technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and manage technical studies, including design of mechanical processes from strategic and conceptual phases to detailed design and construction & commissioning phase support.
  • Design and develop mechanical processes, including mechanical flow diagrams, flow-sheets, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and mechanical layout drawings.
  • Manage technical specifications, including documentation review from supply chain and technical networking with clients.
  • Develop and deliver technical studies related to mechanical handling for both handling operations and heavy mechanical transfer systems, powder mechanical processes (transport, milling, and compaction) in high active environment and gloveboxes.
  • Collaborate with clients, including client experts, to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • Senior Mechanical Engineer:
    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant degree plus a minimum of 5 years experience working on UK nuclear sites.
    • Member of relevant professional body.
    • Demonstrable experience of engineering design and engineering team management in the nuclear industry or other regulated sectors.
    • Demonstrable experience of mechanical studies delivery considering manufacture, testing, construction commissioning, operation, maintenance recovery and decommissioning aspects.
    • Recognised Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Principal Mechanical Engineer:
    • Relevant Engineering degree.
    • 9+ Years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer within Nuclear sector.
    • Member of relevant professional body.
    • Knowledge of Civil, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering.
    • Experience of engineering design in the nuclear industry or other regulated sectors.
    • Experience of mechanical studies delivery considering manufacture, testing, construction commissioning, operation, maintenance recovery and decommissioning aspects.
    • Hold a minimum of 'SC' UK Security Clearance.
