Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at ASSYSTEM. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, including the creation of detailed design specifications and technical documentation.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and designers, ensuring that all designs meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure that all aspects of the project are properly coordinated and executed.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve complex technical problems, using your expertise and experience to develop innovative solutions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in design and development.
  • Skills: Strong technical skills, including proficiency in CAD software and experience with design for manufacturability and assembly.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Nuclear Experience: Experience working in the nuclear industry, with a strong understanding of nuclear safety and regulatory requirements.
  • CAD Experience: Proficiency in CAD software, including Inventor and SolidWorks.
  • Security Clearance: SC Clearance or ability to obtain SC Clearance.
