About the Role

The Manchester College is seeking a skilled and dedicated Project Worker to join our Pupil Referral Unit at our Wythenshawe Campus. As a Project Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of curriculum and pastoral care to learners in under 16 education provision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support learners in overcoming emotional and behavioural barriers to learning, in partnership with Manchester Secondary Pupil Referral Unit.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
  • Provide guidance and support to learners, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Relevant Youth and Community Work qualification or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience working in a youth-related environment.
  • Significant experience of working with school-age learners within alternative education settings.
  • Maths and English at Level 2 or equivalent would be desirable.
