Job Opportunity at The Manchester College

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Project Worker at our Wythenshawe Campus. This is a permanent, full-time position, working 35 hours per week on a term-time only basis.

About the Role

As a Project Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of curriculum and pastoral care for learners in under 16 education provision. You will work closely with the Manchester Secondary Pupil Referral Unit to address the emotional and behavioural barriers to learning faced by our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support learners in overcoming their emotional and behavioural barriers to learning
  • Work in partnership with the Manchester Secondary Pupil Referral Unit to deliver curriculum and pastoral care
  • Develop and maintain relationships with learners, parents, and carers to ensure effective support
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve learner outcomes
Requirements
  • Relevant Youth and Community Work qualification or equivalent
  • Relevant experience working in a youth-related environment
  • Significant experience of working with school-age learners in alternative education settings
  • Maths and English at Level 2 or equivalent (desirable)
