About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join our Paediatric Clinical Psychology team at James Paget University Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality assessments and interventions for children and young people with long-term conditions.

Main Responsibilities

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will work autonomously and as part of a team to:

  • Provide psychological assessments and formulations for children and young people with long-term conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized interventions to support children and young people and their families
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including paediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Engage with service-users to inform service development and expansion

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience of working with children and young people with long-term conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
