Key Qualifications for the Assistant Nursing Manager Role:
  • Registered Nurse Qualification (RGN) is essential
  • Current NMC PIN required
  • Clear DBS check is mandatory
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations
  • Proven experience in leading a Nursing team and providing person-centred care, including care planning

Responsibilities of the Assistant Nursing Manager include:
  • Overseeing the management of nursing services in collaboration with the Home Manager
  • Upholding and promoting high standards of nursing care
  • Facilitating the effective induction of new nursing staff and providing ongoing clinical supervision
  • Adhering to NMC and CQC standards, as well as internal policies and procedures
  • Planning, directing, and delivering high-quality person-centred care through the care planning process
  • Managing all aspects of medication administration, ensuring proper receipt, storage, and distribution
  • Conducting staff evaluations through supervision, appraisals, and team meetings
  • Actively participating in the training of nursing staff to keep them informed of current practices and developments
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and reports to reflect practice and planned improvements
  • Acting as the Deputy in the absence of the Home Manager
