About the Role

Quarriers Ayrshire Youth Housing Service is seeking a dedicated Transition Mentor to join our team. As a Transition Mentor, you will work with young people aged 16-25, providing housing support, mentoring, and guidance to help them achieve their goals and ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide housing support and mentorship to young people in their daily lives.
  • Work with young people to identify and achieve their goals and ambitions.
  • Offer guidance and support related to employment, education, and social community integration.
  • Build long-lasting relationships and trust with young people, ensuring they feel safe and their voice is heard.
  • Travel to meet with young people in their communities, as required.

Requirements:

  • Compassion and kindness when working with young people.
  • Enthusiasm and self-motivation.
  • Ability to apply transferable life experience and skills to support and enable individuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, driven by positive outcomes.
  • Resilience, reliability, and excellent listening skills.
  • Good IT and communication skills.
  • Proactive and skilled in building strong, lasting relationships.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.
