Overview of the Role

Biffa is in the midst of an exciting transformation within our IT department, aiming to leverage cutting-edge technology to enhance our offerings and maintain a competitive edge. We are on the lookout for a Senior Product Manager who possesses robust business insight to oversee the product lifecycle across multiple business sectors. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of business dynamics, capable of crafting digital solutions that integrate effortlessly into customer operations, providing essential information, and delivering value to both stakeholders and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with various business units to actualize innovative ideas, develop product roadmaps that align with business objectives, and cultivate strong relationships with divisional leaders.
  • Serve as the customer champion for intricate products, prioritize user requirements, and articulate business value for the delivery teams.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to devise strategic product roadmaps and oversee their execution.
  • Facilitate discussions, refine user narratives, lead testing efforts, and contribute to critical decision-making processes.
  • Formulate persuasive business cases that align with overarching strategies and present them to senior management.
  • Design effective 'Go to Market' strategies to ensure successful product integration.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators to improve decision-making frameworks.
  • Assist in evaluating build/buy/partner options and conduct product showcases.
  • Stay informed about technological advancements and their implications for business models.
  • Contribute to the design of governance activities to ensure compliance with technology standards and identify organizational and financial impacts.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Management within an Agile/SCRUM framework.
  • At least 3 years of experience in developing business cases and leading product strategy for complex offerings.
  • Strong financial literacy and capability to perform financial assessments.
  • Experience in managing other product managers, business analysts, or technical product owners.
  • Familiarity with system development life cycle methodologies.
  • Proven experience in embedding agile methodologies within diverse teams.
