About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Amazon Marketplace Expansion Manager to join our team at I Love My Job Ltd. As a key member of our e-commerce team, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of our business on Amazon and other digital marketplaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Amazon Account Management:
    • Develop and execute strategies to optimise our Amazon presence, including product listings, pricing, and inventory management.
    • Monitor and analyse Amazon performance metrics to inform trading strategies and drive growth.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless Amazon operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Expansion of Amazon, Marketplaces & Social Commerce:
    • Develop and implement strategies for expanding our brand's presence on Amazon into international markets, including market analysis, product localisation, and fulfilment optimisation.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless international expansion, including logistics, customer service, and compliance.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to optimise our brand's presence and performance on additional online marketplaces and social commerce sites.
  • Digital Marketing:
    • Utilise digital marketing strategies to drive traffic and sales on Amazon and other platforms, including search engine optimisation (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and social media marketing.
    • Manage marketing budgets and deliver a healthy return on ad spend (ROAS).
  • Business Reporting and Insights:
    • Monitor business trends and performance metrics through insightful reporting and analysis, providing actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making.
    • Manage keyword selection and bid optimisation on the Amazon Advertising platform to maximise ROI and sales performance.
    • Develop and maintain weekly and monthly reporting dashboards, delivering performance insights and recommendations for campaign optimisation.
  • Customer Behaviour Analysis:
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of customer shopping and purchasing behaviour on Amazon and other sites to identify trends, preferences, and opportunities for enhanced engagement and conversion.
  • Legal:
    • Proactively identify copycat products and unauthorised sellers on all platforms.
    • Conduct thorough investigations into suspected copycat listings and unauthorised sellers through Amazon's reporting and enforcement mechanisms.
    • Collaborate with Amazon's support team to resolve issues related to intellectual property infringement and unauthorised use of brand assets.
    • Implement strategies to protect our brand's integrity and intellectual property rights on across all digital platforms.
  • Administration:
    • Manage Amazon's revenue protection, defending fraudulent A-Z claims and credit card chargebacks on alternatively fulfilled items in a timely manner, with a high success rate.
  • Marketplace Management and Expansion:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of existing marketplaces (e.g., Ankorstore, Faire) for optimal product visibility, pricing, and inventory management.
    • Analyse market research to identify new potential marketplaces, considering factors like market size, audience demographics, and competition.
    • Develop and execute strategies working alongside the Head of PR & Social for expanding into new marketplaces (e.g., Tmall) and social commerce (e.g. TikTok), leveraging insights from market analysis and collaboration with platform-specific teams.
    • Monitor performance of new and existing marketplaces, tracking metrics such as sales, conversion rates, and customer feedback. Use data-driven insights to optimise strategies for growth and profitability.
  • Stock Forecasting & Inventory Management:
    • Manage the overall company stock forecasting for both online and offline retailers, by collating insights and data including performance, inventory turnover rates, and demand trends.
    • Oversee the company stock control process, ensuring accurate inventory tracking, timely replenishment, and efficient stock management practices to support business growth and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years Amazon experience with experience of 1P and 3P.
  • Experience of managing ad campaigns on the Amazon platform.
  • Exposure to international expansion, with experience of also having non-Amazon marketplaces a huge advantage.
  • Experience of managing social commerce sites such as TikTok or Instagram.
  • Proficiency in leveraging data and analytics to inform trading strategies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate insights and recommendations to various stakeholders.
  • Some experience of stock control and movement would be a huge advantage.
  • A passion for problem-solving and a proactive approach to driving growth through innovative strategies.
  • Excellent project management experience, with the ability to assess and see projects through to completion.
