We are seeking a skilled Property Maintenance Specialist to join our Communal Services Team at Octavia Housing. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our properties and surrounding areas are clean, tidy, safe, secure, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues, including cleaning, repairs, and gardening tasks.
  • Report and follow up on all communal repairs, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to residents.
  • Inspect play equipment regularly and report any damage or safety concerns to ensure a safe environment for children.
  • Participate in site inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to resident concerns and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols, ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with Octavia's policies and procedures.
  • Work flexibly across multiple sites as required, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in cleaning, caretaking, or building management, with a strong understanding of health and safety practices and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, contractors, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.
  • Basic DIY and maintenance skills, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Physical ability to perform daily tasks, including lifting and carrying equipment.
