Position Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Gynaecology Oncology team. This role involves collaborating with a diverse group of healthcare professionals, including Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialists, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, and Cancer Navigators, to provide comprehensive nursing support for patients and their families facing cancer diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will deliver specialized nursing care focused on the needs of women undergoing assessments for potential malignancies, as well as those receiving treatment for gynaecological cancers. Responsibilities include:
- Providing holistic, patient-centered care throughout the treatment journey.
- Mentoring and supporting junior staff within the Macmillan team.
- Acting as a clinical expert and resource for patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Leading educational initiatives for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Collaborating with the Gynae Oncology Matron to enhance service delivery and implement patient-centered initiatives.
This role requires flexibility to work across various sites as part of a managed clinical service, ensuring that all patients receive tailored care plans and holistic needs assessments.
