Job Title: Locum Consultant in Gynaecological Oncology

About the Role:

The Christie NHS FT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Gynaecological Oncology to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our cancer services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of patients with gynaecological cancer, including treatment decisions and ongoing care.
  • Participation in clinical governance, including maintaining up-to-date protocols and guidelines.
  • Contribution to research projects and the development of new opportunities within the team.
  • Revision and development of evidence-based protocols for patients and administrative duties associated with patient care.
  • Maintenance of continuing professional development consistent with the Royal College of Physicians recommendations.
  • Active contribution to the training of junior doctors and other multidisciplinary team members.

Person Specification:

  • Essential:
    • MRCP or equivalent qualification.
    • GMC registration.
    • Entry on the GMC specialist register via Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration.
    • Evidence of productive ethical research relevant to oncology.
    • Wide experience of oncology, including gynaecological cancer.
  • Desirable:
    • An appropriate higher degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent).
    • Recent publications in peer-reviewed journals.
