We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gastroenterology Consultant to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient-centred care and contributing to the day-to-day management of our gastroenterology service.
Main Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, including diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy
- Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the development of our gastroenterology service
- Teach and train junior doctors and other colleagues
- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to clinical governance activities
- Participate in continuing medical education and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in gastroenterology

Person Specification- Entry on GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)
- MRCP or equivalent qualification
We are looking for a candidate with a broad range of experience in gastroenterology, including diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy. You should be able to evidence engagement with clinical governance and the identification of errors and the learning from errors. Demonstrable experience in a Locum Consultant role is desirable.
