Job Summary

Lockton is seeking a highly skilled Marine Cargo Claims Specialist to join our dynamic and expanding Cargo & Logistics Claims team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of marine cargo claims, handling a variety of complex claims and negotiating with insurers to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on marine cargo claims.
  • Utilize industry knowledge and expertise to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in claims handling.
  • Collaborate with the Cargo & Logistics Placement Team to ensure seamless communication and coordination on key loss developments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective claims resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in marine cargo claims handling.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in marine cargo claims, with a strong understanding of policy coverage and associated benefits and exclusions.
  • Proficient in using industry-standard systems, such as ECF and CLASS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex claims issues.
  • ACII qualifications or equivalent experience.
