About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Marine Cargo Claims Advocate to join our team. As a Marine Cargo Claims Advocate, you will be responsible for handling high-value and contentious Marine Cargo Claims from first notification of loss through to settlement.
You will work closely with the Cargo placing team, keeping them abreast of updates and relevant trends in the market, and reporting directly to the Claims manager.
Key Responsibilities- Manage key accounts, maintaining and building on the current Claims relationship, including regular meetings and providing Claims reports to senior stakeholders.
- Process claims, manage their movements, and set up initial advice, logging each relevant movement on the internal/ECF system.
- Have a high degree of knowledge and experience using the ECF/CLASS system, and be analytical with excellent experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Significant Marine Cargo claims experience.
- In-depth understanding of how the market works, from placement to policy structure, premiums, and market systems.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
A competitive salary of up to £75,000 (dependent on experience) plus a comprehensive benefits and bonus package.
