Join a leading Global Lloyd's Insurance Broker in the heart of the City of London and take on a challenging role as a Senior Marine Cargo Claims Handler. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a growing and friendly team, handling high-value and contentious Marine Cargo Claims from first notification of loss through to settlement.
About the RoleAs a Senior Marine Cargo Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing key accounts, maintaining and building on the current Claims relationship, and providing Claims reports to senior stakeholders. You will work closely with the Cargo placing team, keeping them abreast with updates and relevant trends in the market.
Key Responsibilities- Handle a variety of high-value and contentious Marine Cargo Claims from first notification of loss through to settlement.
- Manage key accounts, maintaining and building on the current Claims relationship.
- Provide Claims reports to senior stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Cargo placing team, keeping them abreast with updates and relevant trends in the market.
To succeed in this role, you will need significant Marine Cargo claims experience and an in-depth understanding of how the market works right through to placement. You will also need a strong understanding of how policies are structured, how premiums have been signed to relevant different policy sections, and a good understanding of all market systems and how they fit together.
