Join a leading Global Lloyd's Insurance Broker in the heart of the City of London and take on a challenging role as a Senior Marine Cargo Claims Handler. As a key member of the claims team, you will be responsible for handling high-value and contentious Marine Cargo Claims from first notification of loss through to settlement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage Marine Cargo Claims from cradle to grave, including initial advice and logging relevant movements on the internal/ECF system.
- Manage key accounts, maintaining and building on current Claims relationships, including regular meetings and providing Claims reports to senior stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Cargo placing team, keeping them informed of updates and relevant trends in the market.
- Report directly to the Claims manager and contribute to the growth and success of the claims team.
Requirements:
- Significant Marine Cargo claims experience and in-depth understanding of the market, including policy structures, premiums, and market systems.
- High degree of knowledge and experience using the ECF/CLASS system, analytical skills, and excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize deadlines.
