Marine Cargo Claims Adjuster

Everest Insurance, a leading global insurance company, is seeking a highly skilled Marine Cargo Claims Adjuster to join our Claims Team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving complex cargo claims underwritten from the UK on our Syndicate and Company platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective claims handling strategies to resolve complex cargo claims.
- Conduct thorough investigations and analysis of cargo claims to determine liability and damages.
- Collaborate with underwriters, actuaries, and other stakeholders to provide input, advice, and review on claims-related matters.
- Manage and direct outside lawyers, loss adjusters, and other external experts to ensure timely and effective resolution of claims.
- Prepare and present case summary reports to key stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
- Develop and execute claim strategies to achieve optimal outcomes for the company and clients.
- Participate in claim reviews, quarterly claims reserving meetings, and other stakeholder meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in cargo claims handling, with a strong understanding of jurisdictional laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence others and resolve complex disputes.
- ACII qualified or degree-educated professional with a strong understanding of the insurance industry and claims process.
