Marine Cargo Claims Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Cargo Claims Advocate to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Marine Cargo Claims Advocate, you will be responsible for handling high-value and contentious Marine Cargo Claims from first notification of loss through to settlement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage Marine Cargo Claims from cradle to grave, including logging relevant movements on the internal/ECF system.
- Manage key accounts, including maintaining and building on current Claims relationships, and providing Claims reports to senior stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Cargo placing team to keep them abreast of updates and relevant trends in the market.
- Report directly to the Claims manager.
Requirements:
- Significant Marine Cargo claims experience.
- In-depth understanding of the market, including policy structures, premiums, and market systems.
- High degree of knowledge and experience using the ECF/CLASS system.
- Excellent analytical and Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
