Job Title: Procurement Officer

As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for sourcing, managing, and delivering non-project specific goods and services to schedule, budget, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of the company's Procurement and Supply Chain Strategy, aligning with corporate goals.
  • Maintain proactive relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure stock and order planning meets business needs.
  • Contribute to company-wide material rationalization objectives.
  • Participate in bid completion activities, including quotation preparation, issue, and analysis.
  • Manage order raising, approvals, issues, and supplier acceptance, highlighting discrepancies.
  • Support the delivery of MTS outsource subcon process supply chain, from need identification to supplier onboarding and contract management.
  • Engage in supplier negotiations, reviewing and negotiating contractual terms.
  • Manage procurement contract kick-off and contract management, ensuring commercial and technical requirements are met.
  • Ensure export/import compliance for associated supplies, collaborating with the MTS Trade Compliance department.
  • Maintain accurate procurement data on systems, including ERP, for supplier, contract, and bid management.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Manage the order book and execute requisitions to support project schedule adherence.
  • Provide commodity management and expertise for appointed commodity areas, mitigating supply chain risks and opportunities.
  • Attend internal meetings, including project updates, bid gate reviews, and procurement department meetings.
  • Manage supplier performance metrics and drive improvement plans with relevant suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Contract and supplier management skills.
  • Supply chain principles and techniques.
  • Understanding of stock ordering systems and ordering models.
  • Experience in outsourcing supply management.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills (written, oral, and presentation).
  • Previous experience with ERP systems.
  • Competency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, both internal and external.
