About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health and Wellbeing Support Assistant to join our team at EdEx. As a key member of our support staff, you will work closely with teaching professionals and support staff to provide individualized support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students with SEN/SEMH needs in 1:1 and small group settings, as well as in the classroom
  • Support class teachers in delivering lesson material to all students
  • Report feedback to class teachers and contribute to student progress
  • Set and work towards targets aimed at individual pupil development
  • Plan and run 1:1 and small group sessions to support student learning and wellbeing
Requirements
  • Graduate with strong academics, including a degree from a reputable university
  • Previous school-based experience, preferably in a SEN/SEMH setting
  • Sufficient understanding of SEN/SEMH needs, with previous experience preferred
  • Committed, driven, and compassionate individual with a passion for learning and assisting others
What We Offer

  • Competitive daily rate of £105-£110
  • Monday to Friday working hours, with no weekends
