We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Practice Educator to join our team at the Transformation Unit. As a Clinical Practice Educator, you will play a crucial role in supporting and assessing clinical staff in their practice, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with clinical staff to support and assess their practice, providing feedback and guidance to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate training programs, study days, and action plans to meet the developmental needs of clinical staff.
- Collaborate with Matrons and Ward Leads to implement training programs and provide feedback to staff.
- Support and assess practice, being flexible in your working pattern and approach to reach and support all staff.
- Have experience in elderly care, possess a degree, and have excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with other practice educators.
- NMC registration for adults, minimum 1 year.
- Teaching and assessment qualification.
- Experience as a registered nurse within acute care.
- Experience in supervising and facilitating both pre-registered student and staff nurses in practice.
- Ability to motivate and inspire, create a positive learning environment, and critically appraise and provide feedback in a constructive manner.
- Strong organizational skills, able to problem solve, and commitment to development of others.
- Experience in leadership and knowledge of Older Persons Medicine and importance of a Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment.
