About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager - Team Motivator to join our team in Harrogate. As a Shop Manager - Community Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff and volunteers, and for developing and implementing strategies to increase the shop's contribution to Shelter's cause.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of staff and volunteers to achieve sales targets and improve customer experience
- Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to attract customers and increase sales
- Build relationships with local community groups and organizations to promote Shelter's work and increase fundraising opportunities
- Monitor and analyze sales data to inform business decisions and improve performance
- Work closely with the regional team to develop and implement strategies to improve shop performance and increase fundraising
Requirements
- Proven experience of managing a team and developing and implementing effective merchandising strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with staff, volunteers, and local community groups
- Ability to analyze sales data and inform business decisions
- Knowledge of retail operations and customer service principles
- Passion for Shelter's mission and values
