About the Role

The Growth Company is seeking an Employer Engagement Specialist to join our Support to Succeed programme. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a quality recruitment service to our customers and employers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a range of activities to produce leads and create opportunities to sell products and services to employers, placement hosts, and VCSEs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with The Growth Company colleagues to increase referrals.
  • Work with employers, placement hosts, and VCSEs to identify their recruitment and workforce development needs and sell appropriate services to them.
  • Develop ongoing relationships with employers, placement hosts, and VCSEs to generate repeat business and encourage the adoption of new services.
  • Source suitable vacancies for The Work Company's customers.
  • Meet customers regularly to ensure a good understanding of the customer base and vacancies needed.
  • Advertise all vacancies clearly and concisely.
  • Compile employer feedback and distribute it to relevant teams.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of The Growth Company's product range and make referrals to product teams against monthly targets.
About You
  • A warm and approachable style is required to build relationships and rapport.
  • Excellent knowledge of the local labour market, methods of recruitment, and growth industries.
  • Good knowledge of welfare to work and the customer base.
  • Ability to work to challenging targets and KPIs.
  • Flexible approach to work, including willingness to travel and work occasional unsociable hours.
  • Well-developed IT skills, including an understanding of computerised management information systems, spreadsheets, diary management, and email.
Requirements
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
  • Previous sales experience is required.
  • Recent experience working to challenging targets within a sales environment.
  • Previous experience in securing vacancies and job starts.
  • Ability to make contact with decision makers, identify business opportunities, and close contracts.
  • Knowledge of recruitment and training services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate with employers, placement hosts, and VCSEs.
  • Networking and communication skills, both written and oral.
