Paediatric Community Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paediatric Community Nurse to join our team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. As a Paediatric Community Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and families in the community.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the management of paediatric asthma and atopy in children and adolescents. You will work closely with the Children's Community Atopy Team to provide clinical support, education, and training to staff and clients. Your expertise will be essential in promoting best practice and improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Clinical:
Contribute to the overall aim of reducing emergency department attendances, hospital admissions, and readmissions. Support specialist nurse-led asthma clinics and assist nursing colleagues in establishing individualized plans of care for patients with respiratory and allergic conditions. - Management and Leadership:
High-quality care for every patient, every day. Raise the profile of the Paediatric Atopy service within other locations and with other professionals. Support, enable, and develop other staff. - Research:
Facilitate a high-quality, cost-effective service through undertaking research, surveys, audits, and implementing findings to improve patient care. - Training:
Willing to study for a paediatric asthma/allergy qualification or have relevant experience. Undertake mandatory training as outlined by Lewisham and Greenwich Healthcare Trust. - Partnerships:
Actively work together with other professionals by communicating with the extended multi-disciplinary teams within the primary, secondary, and community settings.
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
- RN Child/RSCN - BSc/BSc(hons)
- Relevant post-registration qualifications, e.g., atopy
- Evidence of continuing professional development, short courses
