About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Nurse to join our team at Thornbury Community Services. As a Paediatric Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to young people with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide bespoke care and support to young people with complex needs, enabling them to stabilise at home and achieve personal goals.
- Work collaboratively with the client's family and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans.
- Administer medication, including buccal administration, and perform deep suctioning, mechanical cough assist, and care of peg-J.
- Use percussion and vibrations to support respiratory care.
- Provide 24/7 clinical support to the client and their family.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months' experience in the last 2 years in paediatric nursing.
- Recent experience in deep suctioning, mechanical cough assist, care of peg-J, percussion, and vibrations.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
