Position Overview

We are seeking a Rent Management Specialist to become a vital part of our team. This role offers a competitive salary and the possibility of occasional travel. You will assist the Rent and Nomination Manager along with both internal and external partners to ensure that appropriate rental rates are established for all new projects undergoing the approval process. Additionally, you will aid in the annual assessment of rent and service charges in collaboration with our external partners and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct rent evaluations prior to the second phase of our internal project approval process, ensuring all feedback from the initial stage is addressed.
  • Perform rent reassessments before handover for final approval by the Rent and Nominations Manager.
  • Update our internal Housing Management System, Brolly, with finalized rental figures prior to tenant occupancy.
  • Generate performance reports, including quarterly valuation movement reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain the rent dashboard in collaboration with finance colleagues.
  • Ensure rent setting models are current to facilitate rent evaluations and SDR reporting.
  • Conduct assessments for re-letting rents.
  • Contribute to both internal and external audits as well as regulatory submissions.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for individuals who possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in rent setting.
  • A strong understanding of the significance of fostering and maintaining relationships for the mutual benefit of all parties involved.
  • Knowledge of key rent setting regulations within the affordable housing sector.
  • Experience and familiarity with the affordable housing industry.
  • Proficiency in working with Housing Management Systems and the importance of keeping such information current.
  • A keen interest in developing systems that enhance the business's rent setting and reporting capabilities.
