Team Dynamics
Our diverse team comprises individuals with extensive experience in scaling technology startups and developing energy companies, alongside specialized knowledge in energy markets. You will collaborate with a dynamic group of innovative and driven professionals who are committed to making a meaningful impact in the renewable energy sector. Together, we aim to demonstrate that battery technology is a viable component of our current energy infrastructure.

Your Role
As part of our expanding legal team, you will play a crucial role in supporting FIELD's increasing legal requirements as we acquire and develop battery energy storage projects across Europe. You will join a team of three dedicated in-house attorneys, bringing your expertise in real estate to manage the negotiation of numerous land contracts essential for our project development in various regions.

Key Responsibilities
This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Drafting, negotiating, and finalizing greenfield battery storage options for lease and purchase across various regions.
  • Conducting thorough land due diligence, including title searches and navigating relevant legal databases.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive suite of land templates and procedural guidelines.
  • Drafting and negotiating easements, wayleaves, grid disturbance agreements, and licenses.
  • Leading legal due diligence during the acquisition process, becoming the go-to expert in real estate matters.
  • Engaging in a variety of in-house legal tasks, including NDAs, commercial contracts, and supporting senior attorneys on complex issues.


Qualifications and Skills
About You
  • You are eager to take charge of contract negotiations related to land deals and ensure swift closures.
  • You take pride in delivering high-quality work while balancing the need for speed and accuracy.
  • You possess strong communication skills, capable of translating complex legal concepts into practical and commercial solutions.

  • You are highly organized, adept at managing multiple tasks and maintaining a structured approach to your workload.
  • You can effectively coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on due diligence and acquisition processes.

Essential Skills
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm's renewable energy real estate team or in-house at a renewable energy developer.
  • Experience in negotiating lease options in the renewable sector.
  • Ideally, you have dual qualifications and experience in negotiating land agreements in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Familiarity with land registry processes and legal databases.
  • Experience in providing legal support for acquisitions, including due diligence.
