We are seeking an experienced Ecologist or Senior Ecologist to join our team at FPCR Environment and Design Ltd. As a key member of our ecology team, you will play a pivotal role in leading and delivering high-quality ecological assessments, surveys, and mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and deliver ecological assessments, surveys, and mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with our talented team of ecologists, landscape architects, and environmental planners
- Advise clients on biodiversity net gain, DEFRA statutory biodiversity metric, and associated reports and plans
- Conduct site visits and gather data to inform ecological assessments
- Prepare and present reports, plans, and other documentation to clients and stakeholders
- Develop and implement effective project management strategies to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
- Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Proven track record in managing and delivering ecological projects, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results
- Sound knowledge of UK ecology legislation, guidelines, and best practice
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in advising clients on biodiversity net gain, DEFRA statutory biodiversity metric, and associated reports and plans
- Membership or eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIEEM)
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
- Competitive salary, dependent on experience and grade
