About the Role:
Richmond Fellowship is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Specialist to join their Surrey Employment service. As an Employment Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with mental health problems and other chronic health conditions to find paid employment or return to work after a period of ill health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to individuals to source appropriate, meaningful paid roles with local organisations/employers.
- Offer careers advice and guidance to help individuals set their own recovery and employment-focused goals.
- Provide training in personal and skills development, such as CV preparation and interview techniques.
- Establish and maintain positive links with Primary care providers, clinical teams, partner organisations, local employers, and other relevant agencies.
- Develop and promote the service, and maintain efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments, and reviews are completed in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of the IPS model of working, mental and physical health problems, and the issues and barriers this can create for clients.
- Excellent motivational, presentation, and listening skills.
- Ability to travel in the local area and work outside of office hours as required.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and be flexible to the demands of this ever-changing role.
