Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Practice Administrator to join our team at Norwood Medical Centre. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our healthcare professionals and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to our healthcare team, including typing of letters, reports, and other clinical documents.
  • Workflow Management: Action tasks and workflow lists in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and colleagues, using excellent communication skills via telephone, email, and in-person.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion, adhering to our practice's policies and procedures.
  • Health and Safety: Assist in promoting and maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to our practice's Health & Safety policy and procedures.
  • Quality: Contribute to maintaining high-quality standards within the practice, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting solutions.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in an administrative role.
  • Skills: Strong IT skills, including Microsoft and Excel packages; excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Qualifications: English and Maths GCSE A to C or equivalent; secretarial qualifications desirable.
