Position Overview
We are a dynamic healthcare facility seeking a dedicated and skilled healthcare practice nurse to become a vital part of our team. Our practice is committed to providing high-quality medical services to our diverse patient population.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will hold a valid NMC registration and possess substantial experience in a practice nurse capacity within a healthcare setting.
Working Hours
Working hours are negotiable, with an approximate commitment of 28 hours per week, offering flexibility for the right individual.
Benefits
Enjoy 5 weeks of annual leave on a pro-rata basis, with an increase of one additional day for each year of service, up to a maximum of 6 weeks, alongside pro-rata bank holiday entitlements.
Key Responsibilities
The practice nurse will collaborate with the primary healthcare team to deliver Personal Medical Services to our patients. Responsibilities include:
- Cervical Screening
- Management of long-term conditions such as Diabetes, Asthma, and COPD
- Administering routine and childhood immunizations
- Conducting travel clinic services
- Performing ear syringing
- Wound care management
- Conducting contraception reviews
- Administering hormone injections
- Performing venepuncture
- Requesting pathology tests
About Our Practice
We are a close-knit and welcoming practice comprising a team of 3 GPs, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, a Paramedic, a Healthcare Assistant, a Pharmacist, and a supportive management and administrative staff. Our practice has consistently received positive feedback and is rated as 'Good' by the regulatory body.
Professional Development
The post-holder will engage in ongoing professional development and participate in training programs as part of their employment. This includes taking part in annual performance reviews and being responsible for maintaining a record of personal and professional growth.
