Financial Operations & Administrative Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our expanding Finance department, you will take charge of the complete purchase and sales ledger invoice workflow. This includes managing Supplier and Contractor Payment Runs, generating invoices, pursuing outstanding debts, allocating payments, and preparing remittances.

You will have the chance to enhance controls and streamline processes throughout the organization, fostering efficiencies within the team. We seek an individual eager to adopt and advocate for the latest technologies, automating tasks and functions relevant to the role.

Additionally, you will assist in the daily operations of Answer, which encompasses asset management, coordinating travel arrangements for staff, and collaborating with external contractors as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in a dynamic finance environment, managing aged debtors and creditors while engaging with clients.
  • Familiarity with daily and monthly banking activities, reconciliation processes, and petty cash management.
  • Proficient in accounting software, especially Sage Line 50 and Xero.
  • Experience in managing fixed asset ledgers.
  • Ability to adapt and work independently when necessary, while also being a key team player.
  • A proactive mindset and a willingness to engage with the broader business needs.

Desirable Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Debits & Credits and comfort in posting journals.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
  • Capability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues related to financial transactions.
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and integrity.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records and reports.
