About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sunday Sales Assistant to join our team at Age UK Hartlepool. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers, ensuring our store is well-stocked and visually appealing, and contributing to the overall success of our shop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage stock levels, including receiving and processing deliveries, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Display and merchandise products in a visually appealing way, ensuring our store looks its best at all times.
  • Maximize sales by promoting Gift Aid and other products to customers, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of our products and services.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive and productive team environment.

About You
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Literate and numerate, with basic knowledge of Health & Safety and Fire regulations.
  • An effective team player, with a flexible approach to your job and a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy bags of stock, up to 10kgs.
