The Team:

The Hiscox UK Change Team serves as a vital link between business operations and technology, ensuring that technological advancements are prioritized, clearly defined, and implemented effectively to support the strategic objectives of the organization. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the entire change process, with a strong emphasis on delivering value to guarantee that we are not only undertaking the right initiatives but also executing them correctly. We seek exceptional collaborators who excel in relationship-building, are willing to challenge existing practices, and can facilitate consensus while guiding stakeholders through each phase of the transformation journey.

The Business Analysis team operates from various locations, consisting of dedicated professionals focused on enhancing the Business Analysis capabilities at Hiscox UK.

About You

You will be a seasoned Business Analyst, adept at collaborating with Business Sponsors, Project Managers, Product Owners, Architects, Technical Business Analysts, and Engineers to orchestrate and implement analysis activities that yield valuable business outcomes.

This role offers the chance to engage in diverse projects and value stream initiatives within our UK Change portfolio, providing you with extensive insight into the operational aspects of the UK business, from frontline services to back-office functions and the technology that underpins our commitment to exceptional customer service.

Our projects may focus on process enhancements, the integration of new business ventures, or compliance with regulatory mandates. The results of these projects can range from large-scale system implementations and upgrades to smaller, tactical solutions that create new business opportunities.

When not working remotely, you will have the flexibility to operate from various locations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of user journeys and processes, along with their supporting technologies.
  • Efficiently gather, challenge, and document project scope, processes, and requirements while guiding end users through the change process.
  • Create high-quality business and technical analysis deliverables, including user stories, functional and non-functional specifications, and process models.
  • Ensure traceability of requirements and user stories throughout the entire change lifecycle.
  • Apply best practices in Business Analysis to encourage the business to consider optimal solutions.
  • Establish and maintain trust with senior stakeholders, understanding their goals and desired outcomes while engaging them throughout the process.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Management, PMO, Product Managers, and IT colleagues.
  • Work with fellow Business Analysts to implement continuous improvements in our Business Analysis practices.

Essential Qualifications

  • Drive project outcomes that align with the strategic goals of the business.
  • Demonstrate a results-oriented mindset, with the energy and determination to thrive in a fast-paced environment where timely responses are crucial.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Financial Services or insurance sector.
  • Experience working within a globally distributed team.
  • Possession of a BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or an equivalent qualification.
